MELAO expresses the sweet and profound soul of Colombia's tropical lands,
where the sun warms the sugarcane plantations and the air is filled with the scent of coffee, cocoa, and flowers. Inspired by the country's southwestern region, between the mountains and plains of the Cauca Valley, MELAO evokes the trapiches, small artisanal mills where, for centuries, sugarcane juice was extracted by hand and slowly cooked until it became a thick, dark syrup known as melao. This fragrance is a tribute to life on the fincas, the rural farms where every day begins with a tinto, the typical Colombian black coffee, and the air is filled with familiar and intense aromas.

MELAO is a tribute to the coffee farms, to the quiet of foggy mornings, to the steam rising from the pots, and to hands covered in raw sugar. A fragrance that preserves the flavor of what remains: the memory, the work, and the sweetness of a life lived in contact with the earth itself.

Mutis Nueva Granada was conceived and created by Hanssen Diaz, a young Colombian artist, as a tribute to the sumptuous and rich botanical heritage of his homeland, known at the time of the Spanish Conquest by the evocative name of Nueva Granada. The name Mutis was chosen in honor of Celestino Mutis, the 18th-century botanist who, on behalf of the King of Spain, examined and catalogued the vast and previously unknown botanical heritage of those mysterious and fascinating lands.

The rich and exotic fragrances of the Mutis Nueva Granada collection exude the languid and sensual atmosphere of those equatorial territories, that sensation of suspended time and expansive space immortalized by Nobel Prize winner Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

For all orders the customer will receive a free gift and/or several perfume or cosmetic samples which can also be requested personalized in the order notes.
Orders are processed within 1 to 2 working days from receipt of payment. Orders with samples only may take longer. In the event of warehouse errors and the product being unavailable, the customer will be contacted immediately by email to agree on delivery times.

We have a 30 day return policy, meaning you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it, unworn or unused, with tags and in its original packaging. You will also need your receipt or proof of purchase.
