Concentration 12% “ExpLOud marks the beginning of a new collaboration for Laboratorio Olfactory: the one with Pierre Guéros, creator of fragrances for Symrise, in which we have found a great humanity and sensitivity, typical of those who have traveled a lot, with the will and curiosity to experience different cultures. The understanding was immediate and, by virtue of his ability to translate his long stay in the Middle East into perfume, we decided to entrust him with "our vision" of Oud. Thus was born ExpLOud, a real explosion of a very precious Oud that does not obscure, but finds and gives light, thanks to floral notes that lift the tones, making it possible to offer a new interpretation key to a raw material that has already seen many representations in business." “Oud is the quintessence of woody notes. It is unique both for its olfactory profile and for the socio-cultural interest it generates. I wanted to work on this note as if it were a faceted diamond, the most precious raw material imaginable. I had the opportunity to work with an extraordinary quality of Oud from the Ajmal location in India. This is a note that represents the perfect balance between all facets of oud: smoky, powerful, leathery, slightly animalic, vibrant, addictive. What makes this fragrance perfectly unique is a Magnolia, fresh and floral – Lilybelle accord in the heart, which projects the fragrance into a more joyful and enthusiastic dimension. Lilybelle® in particular, gives an almost aquatic character to the fragrance, allowing the scent to breathe. I also used an overdose of Ambrocenide® and Ambrostar® which guarantee unique intensity, projection and vitality. These molecules can virtually make a perfume last forever. Furthermore, I have chosen a combination of three exceptional raw materials: a fraction of Patchouli to convey the darkness of the oud, Sandalwood to reveal a light and milky addictive effect and finally our precious Vetiver from Madagascar which gives a earthy and slightly smoky footprint. These three elements combined are like a hybrid of a perfect wood. Finally, the addition of Oud Boya underlines the woody and oriental character of the fragrance.”
