Deep in history lies the legacy of Gerda Taro, a German photojournalist of Jewish origin whose courage and intrepid spirit made her a symbol of courage and determination. Her life intertwines with that of her partner, Robert Capa, in a story of love and adventure that takes them to the battlefields of the Spanish Civil War.

“Taro” captures the essence of this seductive and bold woman, a figure who defied adversity and left an indelible mark on the history of photography and journalism. In every note, every chord, we seek to reflect the spirit of Gerda Taro, a woman who dared to face the world and leave her mark on it.

At the heart, Jasmine reflects her sensitivity and connection to human emotions, and Sage represents the wisdom and intelligence she applied in her work.

We were born with the challenge of preserving a destination within a bottle. We sustainably promote access to artistic perfumery, without large impersonal marketing campaigns or the barriers of ultra-luxury.

Our story

We have always been travelers, entrepreneurs and curious people.
In 2012, we began our journey in the fragrance industry, where after our training we were fortunate to be assigned to the Middle East Region. There, perfumes are a culture, and in almost every home, the ingredients are known, and their blends are passed down from generation to generation.

Together with multinationals in the sector, we worked with the region's historic brands, for whom we coordinated the formulation and supply of fragrances, while sharing endless discussions over tea.

Emirates, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Libya, India, Pakistan... Our experience grew, and so did the territories we covered, starting to travel throughout East Africa and South Asia. An exciting period that taught us to open our eyes to other cultures, their scents, and their traditions.

At the end of 2018, the Mediterranean reclaimed us, and we returned home, from where we continued to travel while we settled in.

We decided to venture out and share the experiences of all those years through perfumes, and to do so in a sustainable, humane, and honest way. This is how Botanicae was born.

From here, our stories are told with perfumes. We work and live intensely to continue surprising you with them.

Our deliveries are made via DHL Express courier, which delivers within 3/5 Days of the shipment of the goods.

For all orders the customer will receive a free gift and/or several perfume or cosmetic samples which can also be requested personalized in the order notes.
Orders are processed within 1 to 2 working days from receipt of payment. Orders with samples only may take longer. In the event of warehouse errors and the product being unavailable, the customer will be contacted immediately by email to agree on delivery times.

We have a 30 day return policy, meaning you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it, unworn or unused, with tags and in its original packaging. You will also need your receipt or proof of purchase.
