It was one of my grandmother's favorite desserts,
the Neapolitan pastiera is one of the most traditional symbols of the beautiful Neapolitan city.
With good taste and loving perseverance, he prepared it for every Easter event, when the sun tried to peek out on the beautiful days that were about to arrive.
He promised himself every year to improve his recipe, not admitting that he did it in the best possible way every time.
The scent of flour, of sugar mixed with candied cedar and orange peels, of the freshly opened jar of durum wheat... warmed the atmosphere of home, of our home.
Frenesia reminds me of it, as if these thoughts of mine had been placed in its fragrance, firmly convincing me that I could no longer do without it.
