A truly good whiskey is a sensory experience; It's the bite on the tongue, the heat on the cheeks and the smoky aroma that comes out when it falls on the ice.
It's a scent that Akro's founder, Anais Cresp, first fell in love with when she worked in London's pubs and bars. For her, it will always be associated with that point of no return' in one night, the witching hour where beers become shorts, relaxation becomes hedonism and night approaches morning.

Malt is a sweet, smoky scent that brings an air of welcoming decadence to any situation.

The story of Akro is the story of a family; of a dynasty that spans from the dawn of the perfume industry in Grasse to the cutting-edge art form of today.

It all started a few years ago, when founder Anaïs Cresp was living in London and learning about the world. Working in the pubs and bars of the lively and diverse Ladbroke Grove area, she was entranced by the scents that surrounded her; from the flower stalls, the cafes, the charcoal grills, the whiskey and leather of the great old Irish pubs and the inevitable weed haze in the air.

After a long lost summer spent enjoying everything the city had to offer, Anaïs had an idea; that these distinctive aromas could be bottled and transformed into fragrances. Maybe instead of just fruit and flowers, you could wear your favorite vice on your skin.
