Bagage à main stems from an intimate memory of Pierre Guéros—a family history rooted in leather, raw materials, and artisanal craftsmanship.
Before becoming a perfumer, Pierre Guéros envisioned following in his family’s footsteps: for generations, his father, his grandfather, and their predecessors were master furriers, specializing in the working of leather and fur. For his eighteenth birthday, his father crafted a bespoke travel bag for him out of caramel-colored calfskin—remarkably soft to the touch and designed with a deliberate retro aesthetic, inspired by the aristocratic luggage of the Grand Tour. This precious object became a symbol of his family bond and one of the very first memories that Guéros sought to translate into scent at the beginning of his career. From this memory, *Bagage à main* was born.

The Inspiration
“Before becoming a perfumer, I was tempted to follow in my family’s footsteps. For many generations, my father, my grandfather, and their predecessors were furriers—masters in the craft of working with leather and fur. In his workshop on Rue d’Hauteville, in Paris’s 10th arrondissement, my father created garments from lambskin, mink, fox, and astrakhan. That soft, warm material—so natural and profoundly sensual—was a constant part of my daily life. When I turned eighteen, my father gave me a bespoke gift: a travel bag made of caramel-colored calfskin, with an incredible, supple texture. The design of this *bagage à main* was intentionally retro, reminiscent of the elegant luggage carried during the Grand Tour. It is the most precious object I own, and the evocation of that piece of luggage served as one of the very first accords I composed as a young perfumer. Working with a leather note means attempting to translate its texture, its tactile quality, and that extraordinary ‘skin-on-skin’ sensation. It is a deeply personal experience, and I am proud to present this fragrance in collaboration with Roberto Drago.”

The Story Behind the Fragrance
“When Pierre Guéros told me in 2021 about a fragrance project inspired by a leather bag his father had given him, I was immediately captivated and encouraged him to start working on it. I was very impressed by the initial trials, though we eventually put the project on hold—only to revisit it later in... 2025. I am happy and proud to present this fragrance today—one that I am certain will win over many consumers around the world.”

Orders are processed within 1 to 2 working days from receipt of payment. Orders with samples only may take longer. In the event of warehouse errors and the product being unavailable, the customer will be contacted immediately by email to agree on delivery times.

We have a 30 day return policy, meaning you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it, unworn or unused, with tags and in its original packaging. You will also need your receipt or proof of purchase.
