Bolero expresses the magic of waiting, inspired by Florentino Ariza's love letters to Fermina Daza, whose bond transcends time and space in the famous "Love in the Time of Cholera." It is the scent of a passion that endures, like the memory of a love that survives distance and loneliness. A love that, just like the hidden treasure of the San José galleon, finds its strength in memories and in the desire that endures over time.

Bolero evokes the balconies of Cartagena de Indias (Colombia), where flowers blend with the salty sea breeze and time seems to slow down, suspended between the fervor of a heart in love and the sweet, languid rhythm of the bolero. The fragrance is inspired by this wait, by this eternal love that never gives up, recounting its passion through a journey that defies time, just like Florentino Ariza who, after decades, finally manages to declare his love to Fermina.

Mutis Nueva Granada was conceived and created by Hanssen Diaz, a young Colombian artist, as a tribute to the sumptuous and rich botanical heritage of his homeland, known at the time of the Spanish Conquest by the evocative name of Nueva Granada. The name Mutis was chosen in honor of Celestino Mutis, the 18th-century botanist who, on behalf of the King of Spain, examined and catalogued the vast and previously unknown botanical heritage of those mysterious and fascinating lands.

The rich and exotic fragrances of the Mutis Nueva Granada collection exude the languid and sensual atmosphere of those equatorial territories, that sensation of suspended time and expansive space immortalized by Nobel Prize winner Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

We have a 30 day return policy, meaning you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it, unworn or unused, with tags and in its original packaging. You will also need your receipt or proof of purchase.
